To visit and the Top Village in Ireland and with good reason. Located at the Foot of the Cliffs of Moher to the south, and the beginning of the Burren to the North. And with the shortest ferry crossing to the Aran Islands. Doolin Pier is also the only port for Cliffs of Moher Cruises from below.

Doolin is a small coastal village that has been inhabited for thousand of years. With places names dating back to the first tribes of Ireland such as Toomullin. From Court Cairns and other Megalithic tombs, Stone Axe Factories, Medieval Castles and Monastic Church Ruins. Doolin  is full of Celtic history and local character.

The Micho Russell weekend attracts the best of traditional Irish Music musicians from around the world. Starting of the festival season on the last weekend in February. Followed by the unique local St Patricks day Parade on March 17th. Where all the locals get together to celebrate in style. The end of March welcomes the Doolin writers weekend where short stories are the order of the day.

June welcomes the Doolin Folk Festival. The gold standard in bespoke festivals and the Doolin Heritage Weekend celebrates our unique and diverse history and culture. August celebrates the best of Irish Micro brewing with the Doolin Beer Festival. In September head for Lisdoonvarna next door for the month long matchmaking festival. Or wake up the the hum of the Harley Davidson Festival which is one of the biggest charity fundraising weekends for the local Marie’s Foundation.
